About Desperado
‘Desperado’ is a variety bred and stabilized by Blane Horton, Jackson, Mississippi, USA, from a cross of ‘Cherokee Tiger’ x ‘Kosovo’ (there are more siblings from this cross, for example ‘Balkan Tiger’, ‘Striped Balkan Tiger’ or ‘Long Tall Sally’). Beautiful, dwarf-type plants with regular rugose leaf foliage and extremely high production of pink, elongated fruit, with an irregular shape – sometimes boat-shaped and sometimes more like little hearts. Sweet and full of aroma, very good tomato taste. Highly recommended for small gardens or pots. The plant grows to about 80 cm high and 50 cm across. Early, +/- 70 days to mature.
