About De Weese Streaked (Deweese Streaked)

‘De Weese Streaked’ is a beautiful bi-colored tomato variety, that was first listed in Seed Savers Exchange 1998 Yearbook. The origin of this tomato is unknown, although some sources mention it is of USA origin.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce huge (11-18oz./300-500g), slightly flattened, yellow beefsteak tomatoes with red blush on the skin and beautiful pinkish marbling inside. Meaty flesh with very few seeds. The mild, sweet, and fruity flavors make them great for fresh eating in delicious summer salads, but they are also great for making sweet tomato jam. Thin skin, fruits can crack in cold and rainy summers. Good yield in the second half of the season, about 80-85 days to maturity.
