About David’s Golden Pineapple
‘David’s Golden Pineapple’ is an off-type of ‘Green Pineapple’ tomato, that produced golden and ivory tomatoes, found by David Lemasters in his garden in Pennsylvania, USA. It was likely a cross of ‘Green Pineapple’ and another white or yellow fruited variety, next generations produces yellow, white and green fruit*. ‘Davis’s Golden Pineapple’ was selected as an Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with high yield of medium sized (3-10 oz.), golden yellow colored fruit. Juicy flesh with very good, sweet tomato flavor. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
* There is also ‘David’s Ivory Pineapple’ developed from this line.
