About Criolla Quetzaltepeque
From El Salvador. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces good yields of 2-3 oz., small, red, flattened fruit with lobes. The flesh is slightly dry, with air pockets around seeds. The flavor is excellent, tart, and strong, with an IN-YOUR-FACE tomato taste that makes this a great cooking tomato. Makes a great quick sauce and does pair beautifully with chevre.
