About Copperhead
‘Copperhead’ was developed by Blane Horton of Jackson, Mississippi, USA, from the line that came from the ‘Rumpelstiltskin’ project: ‘Dwarf Wild Fred’ and Keith Muellers ‘H-28’.
‘Copperhead’ was discovered in the garden of Helene Bergquist. Indeterminate, dwarf-type plants with regular rugose leaf foliage. A very good crop of medium-sized fruit (3-5 oz.), round and flattened, slightly ribbed. Copper and red-colored outside with dark green shoulders and green flesh with pink marbling inside. Excellent, sweet refreshing flavor. Good variety for container growing.
*This line also produced ‘Pit Viper’ and ‘Aftershock’ tomatoes.
