‘Ciliegia’ is a beautiful, bright red cherry tomato that originated in Italy. First mentioned in the 1902 ‘Camperio Camillo’ catalog in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. This variety was also listed in the 1905-1979 ‘Ingegnoli Fratelli’ catalogs in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces a high yield of small (0.5-0.7oz./15-20g). red, round cherry tomatoes with nice, well-balanced flavors. Excellent as a snack or for salads. Early.
