‘Chornaya Piramida’ is a Russian collector’s variety. Semi-determinate, regular leaf plants produce large (9-18oz./250-500g.), purple hearts with outstanding, sweet, and slightly smoky flavors. Very aromatic, meaty flesh makes the fruits an outstanding choice for fresh eating but also great for cooking or processing. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
