About Chesapeake
‘Chesapeake’ is a very old American variety, that was donated to USDA in 1960 by Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center and described under accession number PI 270262. It produces beautiful, big, red beefsteaks, slightly flattened with ruffled shoulders. Very meaty, juicy flesh, excellent, well-balanced tomato taste. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
