Cherokee Tiger Large

The original cross was made by Bill Jeffers by crossing Cherokee Purple with a tiger striped dwarf tomato variety (Bonte Tigret?). Selection work was carried on by Dean Slater of Michigan. Compact, bushy, determinate plants with beautiful chartreuse regular leaf foliage produce 7-12 oz., red fruit with golden stripes. A beefsteak with ruffled shoulders, beautifully shaped with striking colors. Excellent flavor, more acidic than sweet.
