About Cherokee Lime Stripes (Cherokee Lime Striped)

‘Cherokee Lime Stripes’ is a very beautifully colored beefsteak tomato that was selected from ‘Cherokee Lime’ by Bill Jeffers, USA*. The indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce a huge yield of large (about 10oz./300g.), green when ripe, striped fruits. Bi-colored, green, and red marbled flesh is sweet, somewhat fruity, with tangy notes and a strong tomato aroma. Midseason, about 78 days from transplant.

* This is what Bill Jeffers wrote on Tomatoville forum in 2013: “I am aware of ‘Cherokee Lime Stripes’ or ‘Cherokee Lime Striped’, it came from seeds I sent to another grower and is the result of a bee-cross in my garden to one of my ‘Cherokee Lime’ plants”.
