About Chernomor (Черномор)
Russian commercial variety. Both regular leaf and potato leaf versions of Chernomor were introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovsky of Minsk, Belarus in the early 2000. Andrey says that both versions of Chernomor originated from Russia and both are still sold by Russian commercial vendors. These are different varieties. Compact and bushy indeterminate, potato leaf plant produces a heavy load of 4-8 oz., purple/black fruits, some with green shoulders, variable beefsteak shapes. Excellent flavor.
