About Chelnok (Челнок)
‘Chelnok’ is a Russian commercial variety, created by ‘FGBNU Federalnyy Nauchnyy Tsentr Ovoshchevodtsva’. It was included in the Russian State Register in 1997.
Determinate, compact plants with regular leaf foliage with a high yield of small (1-4 oz./30-100g.), red, elongated fruits. Very good sweet flavor. Perfect for canning, cooking, or fresh in salads. Early, first, ripe fruit can be harvested about 65 days from transplant.
