About Chef’s Choice Orange F1 Hybrid

‘Chef’s Choice Orange F1’ is a stunning and delicious update of the American heirloom favorite, Amana Orange which is renowned for its beautiful tangerine color and rich flavors but produced fruit at the end of the season. ‘Chef’s Choice Orange F1’ updates that performance with an earlier harvest, but keeps all the rich flavor of the heirloom variety. Winner of a 2014 All-America Selection award.
Indeterminate, 4-5′ tall, vigorous, regular leaf plant with lots of foliage produces heavy yields of 9-16 oz., (but can reach 6″ in diameter), slightly-flattened, bright-orange fruit with well-balanced, delicious flavors. Perfect for slicing onto sandwiches and into salads. The name — Chef’s Choice is appropriate because this beautiful orange tomato won’t look muddy when it’s cooked: broiled, sauteed, baked, or even steamed. Offers superior disease resistance to tobacco mosaic virus, resists cracking, and is not troubled by anthracnose.
