About Catwell
First offered in the Seed Savers 1997 Yearbook by Dorothy Beiswenger, Crookston, Minnesota. Introduced commercially by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2014. Indeterminate, bushy plants with regular foliage produce 6-12 oz., orange beefsteak fruits with very meaty flesh and small seed chambers. Each fruit has only a few seeds, so it is not easy to collect many seeds for this variety. Outstanding sweet flavor. It is quite early compared to other orange beefsteak tomato varieties.
