About Burpee’s Dwarf Giant
Introduced in 1909 by W. A. Burpee. Cross between Ponderosa and Dwarf Champion. F. F. Rockwell described Dwarf Giant as ‘The fruits are tremendous in size and in quality unsurpassed by any. The vine is very healthy, strong, and stocky. I believe this new tomato will become the standard main crop for the home garden, try it. !’ Determinate, regular leaf plant produces 8-10 oz., red-pink, oblate fruits with good, well-balanced flavors.
