About Burbank Slicing

‘Burbank Slicing’ was developed by Luther Burbank around 1915. This is the only variety he grew for canning. The vines are determinate plants that yield heavy crops of medium-sized 2 to 3-inch, red, round slicing tomatoes. Very good, complex tomato flavors with a good amount of acidity. Tested very high in amino acids. A dependable producer for farmers markets and very popular canning tomato variety. Midseason, about 70 days to maturity.
