About Bumble Bee Purple

Bumble Bee Purple AKA Purple Bumble Bee. Purple Bumble Bee is a new and wonderful variety bred by Fred Hempel of Green Bee Farm in Sunol, CA. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants yield very large quantities of 1″, round to slightly elongated, dusky-purple/black cherry to small tomatoes with grey-green stripes that contain distinctly pronounced, complex, well-balanced, sweet/acid, and smoky flavors known for in the black tomato varieties. Inside contains attractive purple flesh. Productive in cooler growing and higher altitude conditions. Crack-resistant. Disease resistant. A perfect choice for gardeners who want big yields of delicious cherry tomatoes throughout the season.
