About Brutus

‘Brutus’ tomato is a commercial variety that originated in the Czech Republic. It produces large, red beefsteaks, slightly ribbed on the shoulders, very meaty yet juicy, with excellent, rich tomato aroma and old-fashioned, sweet, and well-balanced flavors. Fruits vary in size and shape from medium, smooth, and oblate to large and extra-large (in the diameter up to 20 cm and weight more than 35oz./1 kg), irregular, wavy on the shoulders. Pruning is needed. Indeterminate plant with regular leaf foliage. Mid- to late season, about 80-85 days after transplant.
