About Sakhar Korichnevyy (Сахар Коричневый, Sakhar Korichnevyi, Brown Sugar)
‘Sakhar Korichnevyy ‘ is a Russian commercial variety, created by the ‘Sedek Seed’ company. It was included in the Russian State Register in 2009. First introduced commercially in North America by Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds under its translated name ‘Brown Sugar’.
Medium-sized (4-5oz./120-150g), round, smooth, dark-brown colored tomatoes with dark green shoulders are born on indeterminate, regular leaf vines. Dense, crispy in texture fruits soften slightly when fully ripe. Complex, well-balanced, sweet, and tart notes with somewhat earthy, smoky, and savory flavors. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
