About Brandywine, Purple
A cross of Brandywine. First listed under this name in 1998, but is really stabilized variety created by Joe Bratka by crossing Brandywine with Marizol Purple – it is also known as Purple Brandy, Marizol Brandywine and Marizol Bratka) Very much like potato-leaf Brandywine, but 3-inch fruit is darker pink to purple. Indeterminate, pink-purple fruited, with some green shoulders, lightly ribbed. This is a very meaty heirloom tomato with very good flavors. A good market tomato.
