About Borghese Vase Roman

‘Borghese Vase Roman’ is one of the most unusual hanging basket tomato varieties. It was created by Tom Wagner of Everett, Washington, USA. Determinate, regular, wispy, long, and often coiled leaf plants grow up to about 1.0-1.2 meters tall and produce a huge amount of small, cherry-sized (0.5-1.0oz./15-30g and about 2 inches long) fruits. Beautiful, elongated, bottle/sausage-shaped, lemony yellow fruits get a deep, rich yellow-colored skin and bright yellow interior when fully ripe. Good, sweet, and mild tomato taste.
Plants set fruits early in the season, but due to the very large amount of fruit and extensive, large trusses, fruits start to ripe in the middle of the season, about 78 days after transplant. Very good diseases and crack resistance. Fantastic variety for hanging baskets on the terrace or balcony.
