About Bordovyi (Бордовый)
Bordovyi is an old Russian family heirloom, grown for many years by Natalia Khilenko and her family, of Armavir (Russian: Армавир) located in Krasnodar Krai, on the banks Kuban River, Russia. Introduced commercially in 2016 by ‘Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds’. The name of this variety means ‘burgundy’ in russian, and says all about the colour of the fruit. Big, round and oblate fruit have nice, smooth green shoulders and weight about 5-12oz./150-350g. Very meaty, juicy and full of aroma. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants. Midseason, about 75 DTM.
