Boloto (Болото)

‘Boloto’ is a Russian commercial variety, developed by ‘Timiryazev’s Agricultural Academy’ in Moscow. Indeterminate, but compact plants with regular leaf foliage. Very good yield of medium-sized green when ripe beefsteak type tomatoes with clear epidermis. Sometimes fruit gets a pink blush at the blossom end when fully ripe. Very juicy, sweet flesh, meaty and creamy, outstanding, rich flavor. First offered in the Seed Savers 2007 Yearbook by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois, who recived seeds from Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus.
