About Blue’s Bling
‘Blue’s Bling’ seed was found by Blue Dingman in a packet of ‘Cherokee Purple’ seeds he received from Dow Gardens, Midland, Michigan, USA. One of those seeds produced a plant with variegated leaves and beautiful, chocolate-colored fruits. Both, plant and fruit, were a standout in the garden, and Blue Dingman decided to call it ‘bling’.
Indeterminate, regular, and variegated leaf vines produce large (6-14oz./180-400g), oblate to slightly heart-shaped, very dark, chocolate-mahogany colored fruits with smooth and juicy, meaty flesh, very few seeds, and green gel. Outstanding, well-balanced, rich tomato flavors with distinguishing for dark tomatoes, smoky aftertaste. Early to midseason, about 68-75 days after transplant.
