About Blue Bayou
Bred by Tom Wagner, a tomato and potato breeder from Washington state, the founder of Tater Mater Seed and New World Seeds & Tubers. Released in 2012 and offered commercially by New World Seeds & Tubers. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces good yields of 2-4 oz., red, round-oblate fruits with dark blue antho skin when it is exposed to direct sunlight. (Ripens to solid blue in the sunshine and bright red without sun.) Foliage and stems also have a blue tinge. Very good, delicious flavors and juicy flesh.
