Blood Moon

About Blood Moon

‘Blood Moon’ is a very unusual colored, dark striped tomato from Brad Gates of ‘Wild Boar Farms’. It comes from a cross made between ‘Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye’ and ‘Blue Beauty’. Big (9-12oz./250-350g), oblate, brown/mahogany beefsteaks have beautiful, green, and olive-green stripes on the skin. Slightly ribbed shoulders are covered with light, antho splash. Red, flavourful, sweet, juicy, and meaty flesh makes this tomato perfect for summer salads. Indeterminate plants with regular leaf foliage and high yield. Midseason, the first ripe fruit can be harvested about 80 days after transplant.
