About Black Krim (Black Crimson, Black Crim)
‘Black Krim’ tomato is a Ukrainian heirloom variety from the Crimea region of the Black Sea, Crimean Peninsula, Ukraine. First offered in the SSE 1990 Yearbook by Lars Olov Rosenstrom of Bromma, Sweden. This rare and outstanding tomato yields 3-4″ slightly flattened dark-red (mahogany-colored) slightly maroon, beefsteak tomatoes with deep green shoulders. Green gel around seeds. Fantastic, intense, slightly salty taste. Perfect choice for slicing, salads, and cooking. Also suitable for container/patio garden. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with good yield. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
