About Black Bayou

‘Black Bayou’ is a unique, green when ripe tomato with strong anthocyanin expression on both – young plant and fruit. It was selected by Bruno Fournier of France in 2014 from Tom Wagner’s ‘Blue Bayou’ line. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce a good yield of small (4oz./100g) green when ripe tomatoes* with dark blue shoulders. Excellent, refreshing, fruity flavors with distinctive tart notes. Midseason, about 75-80 days to maturity.

* There are also different colors selected from the same line – still in the trial stage.
