About Belgian Heart
‘Belgian Heart’ is an old tomato variety that originated in Belgium. Rita de Clercq sent seeds to her seeds swap friend Dan McMurray as a local Belgium family heirloom. Because the original name was lost, this tomato was named ‘Belgian Heart’, according to its origin. The fruits are slightly elongated and have very attractive-looking pointy ends. Medium-sized, 6-18oz./180-500g. fruits have dense, firm flesh, a nice, smooth texture, and contains very few seeds. Delicious, rich, and sweet tomato taste with nice, acidic notes. Perfect for salads and as a slicer, as well as for sauces and cooking. Indeterminate, regular, and wispy leaf plants with very good yield. Midseason, about 70-80 days after transplant.
