About Bear Creek
‘Bear Creek’ is a beautiful dark-fruited variety developed at ‘Bear Creek Farms’ from a cross of heirloom varieties made by Keith Mueller, who selected it for flavor. Part of the stabilization work was done at ‘Bear Creek Farms’ by Robbins Hail. The variety was released in 2009 through ‘Gourmet Seed International’. First offered in Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook by Robbins Hail of Osceola, Missouri, USA. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with a very good yield of medium to large (about 6-14 oz.), beautiful, purple-black beefsteak-type fruit. Good disease-resistant plants and crack-free fruit. Excellent, complex, and sweet flavor. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.

Did I get purchase some mixed seed? Anyone else have a variegated Bear Creek that looks like the Cherokee Purple variant named Faelan's First Snow?
