About Bandol Blues
‘Bandol Blues’ is a very beautiful anthocyanin tomato selected from a cross made between ‘Pink Berkeley Tie Die’ and ‘Indigo Apple’ F2 by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms in Napa, USA. It was selected by Bruno Fournier of Le Beausset, France, and named by Jean Paul Joseph after both the red wine and the region of Bandol which is famous for its red wines.
An indeterminate regular leaf tomato plant covered with small-sized (2-5oz./60-140g), spherical red, fruit with contrasting antho shoulders that has dense juicy flesh and a slightly spicy flavor. These gorgeous tomatoes are a wonderful addition to summer salads and salsas. The first fruits will begin to ripen during mid-season, 80 days to maturity.
