About Balciai (Balčiai)

‘Balciai’ was developed by Lithuanian breeder Genovaitė Teklė Visockienė. She created this variety at Kaunas Institute of Horticulture in 1986 from a cross made between ‘Vnukovskij’ and ‘Remiz F1’.
Strong and prolific, determinate, regular leaf plants loaded with small (3oz./90g), oblate tomatoes that ripe from very light green, almost white color to bright red. Very firm flesh and good, well-balanced tomato flavors. Midseason.
