About Aztek (Micro)
‘Aztec’ is a rare micro-dwarf tomato variety* that originated in the Czech Republic, vended by Moravoseed.
Beautiful, deep bluey-green, regular leaf bushy determinate micro tomato plant, that grows up to about 8-12” tall. Small (0.5-0.7oz./15-20g) fruits ripen from very pale green to yellow, have a sweet and fruity flavor, very low in acid. Good as a snack or for sweet tomato jam or chutney. Plants are perfect for containers growing on the balcony or patio. Early to midseason, about 65 – 70 days after transplant.
*There is also a red, slightly flattened globe, small-fruited (5oz.-150g) tomato under the same name (regular leaf, indeterminate, midseason tomato plant of unknown origin, that is mentioned in the 1986 SSE Yearbook, from the seed collection of Donald Branscomb, California, USA.)
