About Auld Sod
Irish heirloom that grows well outdoors there and on the Coast, seed stock originally from the Irish Seed Savers Association. Performed extremely well in cooler foggy areas. Determinate, regular leaf, small bushy plants produce early, high yields of small, plum-shaped, red tomatoes that are firm walled and loaded with rich, tangy flavors. This is a very dry tomato that would do well for drying and concentrating the flavor. Great to make sauces or soups. Not a good fresh eating tomato because it is so dry. A premier drying tomato.
