About Ananas Bleu
‘Ananas Bleu’ tomato was created by José Antoine of Belgium from a cross made between ‘Ananas’ and ‘OSU Blue’ tomatoes. The fruits are round saladette* (3-4oz./80-100g), yellow and orange colored outside with dark blue shoulders, and bi-colored yellow and red swirls inside. Sweet and fruity, very good tomato flavors. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with a very good yield. Midseason, about 78 days to maturity.
* There is also a larger fruited selection from this line that is circulating among tomato growers. However, the correct one named ‘Ananas Bleu’ should be a small-fruited saladette.
