Old Russian commercial variety developed by VNIISSOK from a cross Shtambovyi Alpatieva 905 X Bizon 639. Seeds sent to Victory Seed Company by seed saver, Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus. Seeds donated to the USDA in 1962 from the former Soviet Union. Compact determinate, 2′ tall, dwarf, regular/rugose leaf plant produces an abundant yield of 2-5 oz., red, globe to oblate-shaped fruit with very good flavors. Very early maturing.
