About Albenga

‘Albenga’ is a strain of an old Italian heirloom tomato named after city of origin – Albenga, Italian city and commune situated on the Gulf of Genoa, on the Italian Riviera in the Province of Savona in Liguria, Northern Italy. Indeterminate, regular and wispy leaf plants with very high yield of big, red, pear-shaped fruit. Very meaty, dense flesh, perfect for sauce, cooking and canning, but also good for fresh eating. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
