About Adelaide Festival
‘Adelaide Festival’ was developed by the members of ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’ from a cross made between ‘Rosella Purple’ and ‘Pink Berkeley Tie Dye’. It was selected and named by Patrina Nuske Small of Australia in appreciation of the Adelaide Festival of Arts fireworks. Additional work was provided by Patrina, Amanda Fischer, Craig LeHoullier, Ted Maiden, Sue Bailey, Jessica Dubin, Bill Yoder, Doug Frank, and Lisa Moore. Introduced commercially in 2014. Vigorous, rugose regular-leaf dwarf-type plants, that produce large (5-11oz./150-300g), purple beefsteak tomatoes with green/golden/olive stripes. Very juicy and sweet flesh with well-balanced flavors. Midseason, 80 days after transplant.
