About Abigail F1 Hybrid
‘Abigail F1’ Hybrid is a large, pink beefsteak tomato bred at Johnny’s Selected Seeds of by Emily Rose Haga with help of NCSU in developing this variety. Selected for improved fruit quality and disease tolerance. ‘Abigail F1’ delivers significantly higher yields of 10–16 oz. marketable fruit with greatly reduced cracking and stem scarring – a significant improvement over true heirlooms. Early maturity, late blight resistance, and a balanced plant provide even more benefits to growers. Lovely, uniform proportions at a manageable size between ‘Damsel’ and ‘Brandywine’. Ribbed shoulders, meaty texture, and rich flavor evoke favorite pink heirlooms. Exceptionally high yields recorded in multiple trial locations over several years. High resistance to late blight. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants. Midseason, 75 days from transplant.
