About Abe Hall
The story of this variety says that a boater, Abe Hall, grabbed a large pink tomato he saw floating by while he was riding out an Ohio River flood and planted its seeds. Seed was given to Jerry Moomaw of Glouster, Ohio by Fred Hutchison, a decendent of Abe Hall. Jerry Moomaw introduced this tomato in the SSE 1997 Yearbook. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces good yields of 16 oz., pink beefsteak tomatoes with very good taste.
