‘Dwarf Almandine’ was developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’ from the ‘Leggy family’ and named by Susan Oliverson. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Craig LeHoullier, Susan Oliverson, Dan Follett with Bill Minkey. This variety was first introduced commercially by ‘Victory Seeds’ in 2020.
Regular and rugose leaf plants produce a very high yield of small (4oz./100g), elongated, paste-type, dark pink colored fruits (clear skin and dark red interior) with darker shoulders. Very good, well-balanced tomato flavors. Late, about 95 days to maturity.
