Great old-time heirloom tomato said to have been discovered by James Lyde Williamson near Friendly W.Virginia in a pile of flood debris from the Ohio River in 1884. A vigorous, regular leaf tomato plant that yields large, (1-2 lb., dark-pink fruit with lots of bold, complex, well-balanced, old-fashioned tomato flavors. The kind of flavor you want to tell your favorite friends about with hopes of enlarging or enlightening their lives. Great for slicing into sandwiches, or salads, or into your favorite sauce or tomato recipe. Perfect choice for planting in your garden or growing commercially because of its attractiveness and superior taste.
