About Sto Pudov (100 Pudov, Сто Пудов, 100 Пудов)
‘Sto Pudov’ is a Russian commercial variety, created by Nastenko Natalya Viktorovna, Kachaynik Vladimir Georgievich, and Astakhova Olga Vladislavovna, and included in the Russian State Register in 2013. Introduced by ‘Agrofirm Aelita’ in Moscow.
An indeterminate, regular and wispy leaf plant that offers large (9-16oz./255-454g), ribbed, red, pear-shaped fruit with dense, meaty flesh. Very juicy and sweet, this variety is ideal for canning, cooking, and fresh snacking. Outstanding production from mid-season – the first ripe fruits can be harvested about 75-80 days from transplant.
