Questions

Why are my tomatoes splitting?

Splitting of tomato fruit occurs when rapid changes in soil moisture levels cause the fruit to absorb water than the tomato skin can grow. Vertical cracks along the sides of the fruit are known as radial cracks and are the most serious. The cracking that occurs in the circular pattern on top of the tomato fruit is called concentric cracking.
