Mark is the tomato breeder and co-owner of FLF Tomatoes, at Frogsleap Farm near Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA). He has bred plants commercially for more than 30 years, and has bred tomatoes since 2009. Mark earned graduate degrees in plant breeding from UC Davis and Cornell University. The focus of tomato breeding at Frogsleap Farm is to combine flavors of the best heirloom types with the improved fruit quality and plant health characteristics of more recent commercial cultivars. Mark is an irreplaceable mentor, advisor, and scientific contributor to the World Tomato Society, sharing his knowledge through articles on farming, breeding and genetics.
